صحيفة المرصد: كشفت شركة البحر الأحمر للتطوير عن تصاميم معهد الحياة البحرية في منطقة الخلجان الثلاثة بـ"أمالا" الذي يُعَد الأول من نوعه في العالم، المعهد من تصميم الشركة العالمية للتصميم المعماري "فوستر وشركاه".

يضم المعهد 10 مناطق توفر أنشطة بحرية نوعية تشمل تجارب الواقع المعزز وتجارب الغوص الليلي ومناطق مخصصة للمشاريع العلمية.

وقد اكتملت معظم أعمال الحفر في أرض المعهد وتم نقل أكثر من 170 ألف م3 من التربة، والعمل جاري لتشييد الأساسات على عمق 12 مترًا تحت مستوى سطح المياه؛ لتنفيذ حوض ضخم للكائنات البحرية.

وسيعمل المعهد باعتباره وجهة سياحية بالإضافة لكونه مركزًا للبحث العلمي للحفاظ على البيئة، في حين سيقدم للزوار تجاربًا سياحية متعددة الأبعاد تربط بين العروض التعليمية والمغامرات السياحية الثرية بالمعرفة.

سيتألف المعهد الذي تبلغ مساحته 10,340 متر2 من 3 أدوار أحدها فوق الأرض و2 أسفلها، كما أنه سيوفر لمرتاديه إطلالات بانورامية خلّابة على البحر الأحمر والمرسى.
