صحيفة المرصد : كشف استشاري الأمراض المعدية، الدكتور ثامر الخشان، تفاصيل مرض "إنفلونزا الطماطم" وهل يعتبر مرض فتاك"؟.
وقال "الخشان"، خلال حديثه ببرنامج "يا هلا": "هذا المرض خطير، وهناك دراسات معينة أُجريت للتحقق من ذلك".
وأضاف: "بعض الحالات وصلت نسب الوفيات لـ 25%، وفي بعض الحالات وصلت لـ 88 و 90%، لكن هذا على حالات في دول معينة".
وتابع: "بعض الناس تأخد الدراسة على أنها حقيقة لا تقبل الجدال، لكن هذا غير صحيح، فالدراسة التي أُجريت على 100 أو 200 شخص لا يمكن تعميمها وقد يكون بها أخطاء".



وأكمل: "فمثلا أجريت دراسة على الناس اللي تطيح من الطيارة قسموهم قسمين، البعض يفتح الباراشوت والبعض لا يفتحه، وشافوا تأثير ذلك على معدل الوفيات، واتضح أنه لا يوجد تأثير".
واختتم حديثه: "لكن تم إغفال نقطة مهمة جدا وهي أن الطيارة كانت واقفة، وليست في السماء، وهذا يؤكد أن هناك أشياء يعرفها الباحث وأشياء أخرى لا يدري عنها".
