صحيفة المرصد: أعلن الجنرال عبد الرحمن تشياني، رئيس الحرس الرئاسي الذي قاد انقلاب النيجر ، على التلفزيون الرسمي في بلاده أنه أصبح رئيسا لمجلس انتقالي بعد الاستيلاء على السلطة.
وينحدر الجنرال تشياني، من منطقة تيلابيري غرب البلاد، ويتولى قيادة الحرس الرئاسي منذ عام 2015، وهو أحد المقربين من الرئيس السابق محمدو يوسفو.
قاد تشياني منذ عام 2015 فيلق النخبة في الجيش النيجري المسؤول عن أمن رئيس الدولة.
وتمكن من إفشال محاولات الانقلاب التي جرت في عامي 2015 و2021، وحافظ على منصبه مع تولى الرئيس بازوم السلطة في أبريل 2021.
يشار إلى أن الرئيس المحتجز محمد بازوم، ووزير خارجيته حسومي مسعودو، يرفضان الانقلاب الذي شهدته النيجر، وأكدا في رسالتين منفصلتين أنهما لا يزالان يمثلان السلطات الشرعية.
