صحيفة المرصد: كشف استشاري وأستاذ أمراض القلب وقسطرة الشرايين الدكتور خالد النمر، أن زيت الزيتون لا ينظف شرايين القلب ولايخفض الكلسترول، بل يزيده قليلاً.


واستند النمر، إلى دراسة في مجلة طبية تدعم رأيه الطبي، بعد إجراء تجربة على 1730 مشاركاً، أكدت زيادة نسبة الكوليسترول بعد زيادة كمية زيت الزيتون المستخدمة في الطعام.


من جهة أخرى كشف النمر عن أفضل بديل لزيت الزيتون ولا يرفع نسبة الكوليسترول قائلاً :"الدراسات الحديثة تشير إلى زيت الكانولا فهو أفضل من زيت الزيتون."
