صحيفة المرصد : أعلن وزير السياحة، أحمد الخطيب، أن المملكة العربية السعودية وصلت إلى رقم قياسي في عدد السياح، حيث وصل عدد الزوار إلى 109 ملايين سائح خلال العام الجاري، بما في ذلك 27 مليون سائح قادمين من الخارج.


وأوضح الخطيب خلال مؤتمر صحفي حكومي أن هذا الإنجاز جعل المملكة تحتل المرتبة الـ11 عالميًا في عدد السياح.


وأشار الوزير إلى أن النمو السياحي بلغ 153% مقارنة بالعام 2019، مما يجعل السعودية الدولة الأسرع نموًا بين دول مجموعة العشرين. كما أشاد الخطيب بالتضاريس المتنوعة للمملكة، التي تعد مصدرًا رئيسيًا لجذب السياح بمختلف تفضيلاتهم.


وأكد الوزير أن دخل السياحة ساهم بنسبة 5%  من الاقتصاد خلال النصف الأول من 2024، وبلغ عدد السياح المستقبلين 60 مليون سائح خلال هذه الفترة، الذين صرفوا ما يقارب 150 مليار ريال في المملكة.
